- Be authentic. The best way to connect with your target audience is by being authentic and sharing the ups and downs of your small business journey. Pop over to Pop Goes the Waffle’s social media for some inspiration.
- Do your research before you get started. It’s important to have a well thought out plan before you dive in headfirst.
- Make sure your venture is a true business, not a hobby. Many people turn their hobbies into businesses, so it is possible! Just make sure your business is sustainable.
- Go into it slowly. There’s no rush! Take your time getting started so you don’t feel too overwhelmed.
- Keep your day job while you build your business. It might be exhausting but finding the time to stick with your day job while you take on this new venture will pay off in the long run and relieve some of the pressure.
