Teen Checking FAQ
Still have questions?
Overdraft Privilege is not available for this account. The Zelle® Transfer Service is available for minors between the ages of 13 and 17. A minor may only use the service with the permission and upon request of the adult co-owner. The adult co-owner must notify the Bank to enroll a minor in, or revoke a minor’s access to, the Zelle® Transfer Service. To revoke access, the adult co-owner must contact a local banking center. If access is revoked, the minor will no longer be able to use the service, and any pending payments at the time of revocation will be canceled. Once the minor reaches 18 years of age, the individual may independently enroll in the Zelle® Transfer Service using their email address or U.S. mobile number. Account Ownership: Teen Checking is a joint account owned by 2 people, a parent or legal guardian being one of the joint owners. All deposits made into the account are owned by both people. Visa® Debit Card: The daily Point of Sale (POS) limit is $250 and $110 for ATM withdrawal.
*Teen Checking is an interest-bearing checking account. The account will receive 1.01% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) on all balances. Rates are variable and are subject to change at the bank’s discretion. Rates are calculated on a daily balance method. Minimum $10 to open. Rate is effective as of 09/17/2025.
